Advanced Force Feedback (FFB) Interface

Allows interfacing and control of professional haptic steering wheel and pedals force feedback hardware.

From SCANeR GUI the user can easily parametrize the steering wheel and pedals controllers (stiffness, damping, maximal torque, friction, etc.). In addition, it is possible to acquire the torque sensor data from the steering wheel to accurately measure the torque applied by the pilot.

The torque value sent to the hardware can come from the vehicle dynamic model or can be re-computed from a tabulated model.

Additional Sound

Creates a virtual 3D audio environment for the driving simulation in real-time.

More details

It is based on real sound samples and is generated with its own 3D location.
It can handle multiple channels with 3D spatialization.

Motion

Allows SCANeR to control the motion platform movements in a dynamic simulator.

It enables active computation of dynamic equations given by the dynamic model.

Automatic and Manual control
Depending of the simulator mounting, the SCANeR VISUAL mode allows motion compensation (screen mounted or not on the platform, etc.)

Controls

Automatic (default): use the simulation commands to control the motion states.
Manual: allows the supervisor to control manually the motion states in order to deploy and retract the motion platform independently of the simulation states.

Specific plug-in which completely rely on external software.
