Linas-Montlhéry, January 21st, 2020. UTAC, a private and independent group, leader in Europe in the field of land mobility, and AVSimulation, leading supplier of automotive simulation solutions, today announced the signing of a partnership agreement with the aim of offering their customers a full range of simulation scenarios incorporating the main regulatory and Euro NCAP type test protocols.
Thanks to these scenarios, users of AVSimulation’s SCANeR™ platform, and in particular car manufacturers and equipment manufacturers, will be able to develop their systems from the design phase. This will help reduce the time and costs of development and developing future vehicles and systems.
Thanks to its large database of tests carried out over many years on its tracks and installations, UTAC was able to help develop and validate the reality and the accuracy of the scenarios proposed by AVSimulation. The Euro NCAP automatic emergency braking (AEB) protocol (as an example) is already available and further scenarios, like the Lane Support System protocols will be available during the first half of 2020.
SCANeR™ is an open, modular 360° simulation platform that respects industry standards. SCANeR™studio allows to create and run ultra realistic scenarios (traffic, terrain, vehicle dynamics…) on a workstation or on a driving simulator. SCANeR™explore offers the possibility of automatically generating millions of relevant scenarios that vary the set of parameters affecting test systems. In order to accelerate the development of vehicles all the scenarios generated can be run by SCANeR™compute in massively parallel cloud environments (for example, Microsoft Azure).
The integration of regulatory and Euro NCAP type test protocols in the heart SCANeR™ is a world premiere and represents a real competitive advantage for its users.
