From May 20 to 22, AVSimulation proudly took part in the ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo in Stuttgart. This event brought together leading voices in the industry to discuss the future of autonomous vehicles, ADAS validation, and human factors analysis.

Live Demonstrations of Our Expertise

At our booth, attendees had the opportunity to experience SimFLEX, our advanced 6 DoF motion driving simulator, seamlessly integrated with SCANeR, our cutting-edge simulation software. This powerful combination forms a robust and flexible platform that supports :

  • Vehicle dynamics testing
  • Smart lighting simulation
  • Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) integration
  • Electric vehicle development and validation

Together, SimFLEX and SCANeR enable high-fidelity, scalable simulation across a wide range of use cases, helping R&D teams reduce physical prototyping needs while accelerating innovation in future mobility systems

Human Factors & Driver Behavior Analysis

Understanding human behavior is essential to designing safe and effective ADAS and autonomous systems. At the show, we showcased how our Human Factors tools enable real-time capture and analysis of driver behavior, delivering actionable insights through powerful data visualization and analytics.

Key Highlights included:

  • Eye-tracking technology for studying driver focus, gaze patterns, and attention shifts
  • Driver Reaction Time (DRT) metrics to measure response times and situational awareness
  • A suite of advanced tools to generate rich analytics and graphical representations of driver behavior and reactions, supporting the validation and optimization of ADAS and autonomous systems

By combining high-fidelity simulation with driver-centric metrics and analytics, we’re enabling a deeper understanding of how humans interact with advanced driving systems : a crucial step toward safer, smarter, and more autonomous mobility.

Smart Lighting Simulation: A Strategic Vision Toward Autonomy

A major highlight of the event was the presentation by our Director of Strategy & Product, Thomas Nguyen That, titled:

“Smart Lighting Simulation: Illuminating the Path to Fully Autonomous Vehicles”

His talk emphasized how adaptive lighting technologies, such as Advanced Driving Beam (ADB) systems, are reshaping automotive safety and automation. By using onboard sensors to dynamically adjust lighting, enhancing driver visibility while avoiding glare for others, these systems do more than assist drivers: they improve machine perception of the environment.

As vehicles evolve toward higher levels of autonomy, smart lighting becomes a critical enabler, supporting robust environmental understanding in low-visibility or complex conditions.

Simulation plays a key role in this transformation. Using physics-based rendering and digital twins, developers can rigorously test and validate lighting systems in diverse, high-risk scenarios, all without relying on costly or impractical physical prototypes. This accelerates development cycles, improves reliability, and ensures compliance with stringent safety standards for ADAS and autonomous technologies.

Let’s connect and explore what’s next

We were thrilled to connect with engineers, researchers, and decision-makers across the industry. From exploring massive simulation environments to testing the latest adaptive driving technologies, the excitement for innovation was clear.
